Our client has been in business for over 30 years and specializes in third party logistics services for the retail industry. They have positioned themselves as one of the top 3PL providers for "Big Box"  retailers.  They are growing their non asset side of the business and in need of a strong Key Account Manager to work with top tier clients. 
The key account manager will be the liaison between key customers and sales/operations. This person will be responsible for understanding the customer’s shipping needs and business objectives in order to create solutions that benefit both the customer and the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop an understanding of customer’s current shipping needs
  • Forms relationships at all levels within the customer’s organization
  • Negotiate pricing, bids, and RFP between customer and the company
  • Deep understanding of competition and 3PL industry trends 
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of sales or account management experience with a third party logistics provider
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Must understand OTR transportation with a focus on Truckload.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in negotiating pricing
