For over 30 years, our client has specialized in supply-chain services for the retail industry . They provide customized warehousing and transportation services for many of the top “Big Box” retailers.
They are currently growing their freight brokerage service offering. This is a great opportunity to be part of a “startup” within an established and successful supply chain services company.
They need a Team Lead for the inside Account Management team who knows how to qualify, price, position, and manage transportation solutions for shippers. You will work with the outside sales team to grow the brokerage. If you have proven operations and sales success in transportation, then we should talk.
* Build and manage account relationships (Full Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, etc)
* Offer solutions and solve problems for client’s shipping needs
* Qualify new prospects via inside and outside sales effort
* Make sales presentations to prospective and existing customers
* Engage prospective clients at all levels
* Reach and exceed targeted goals by closing new business and retaining/expanding the relationships for existing customers
* 5+ years experience working for a freight brokerage
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
* Enthusiastic and outgoing personality
* Adaptability and flexibility
* Thrives in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
* Strong oral and written communication skills
