Brokerage Sales Manager- Transportation

Our client is a privately held third party logistics provider for the past 50 years. They are currently seeking an Inside Brokerage Sales Manager to join their team in Southern NJ. As a Manager you will help customers optimize their supply chain while overseeing the Inside Sales and Account Management team.

Responsibilities:

• Build and grow relationships with key decision makers with shipping needs
• Use negotiation and sales strategies during pricing and selling discussions with the customers
• Uncover opportunities and sell transportation service offerings
• Understand logistics industry market trends, competition, and pricing that may have an impact on your customers
• Conduct customer reviews to stay informed on industry changes
• Deliver outstanding customer experience through strong communication
• Build trusting relationships with teams across the company

Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in sales or operations for a freight broker or carrier with Management or Team Lead experience
College degree preferred or equivalent experience in a brokerage or carrier setting
Understanding of multiple modes of over the road transportation including FTL/LTL, Intermodal, Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed
