Business Development Manager- Transportation

Our client is a growing on-demand delivery service trusted by retailers like Costco, Crate & Barrel, Big Lots!, and more. 

You will be responsible for identifying and securing new retail companies and partners throughout Houston TX. This is a remote role as you’ll be the only in-market there, so you’ll need to be self-motivated and capable of driving results with limited support.
What You'll Do: 
  • Meet or exceed market quotas for retail customer transactions in assigned territory
  • Set goals and track progress with the ability to report results weekly
  • Prospect for retail partners by phone/email/in-store visits
  • Build relationships with existing customers and potential new customers
  • Be the point of contact for on demand deliveries that need prompt attention
  • Knowledge of the home delivery market preferred. Existing retail relationships a plus.
  • Strong sales and communication skills (via phone, email, and in person).
  • Sales experience with a 3PL, either asset or non asset preferred.
  • Basic excel / Google sheets skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation 
  • Must be willing to spend 30-50% of time traveling 
  • Pipedrive / Zendesk knowledge is a plus!
