Our client was founded nearly 40 years ago with the customer in mind. The founding members saw the market demand and long term potential of building a next generation LTL network in North America. Their goal is to reduce inefficiencies and cost incurred by customers shipping less-than-truckload shipments in and across the US.
Due to growth, they are hiring a Regional Sales Executive for the Chicago area. The focus will be on working with established major and national LTL accounts as well as expansion through new business to business sales. This position is accountable for meeting and exceeding individual KPIs and other business objectives.
Travels within assigned territory to meet customers in person and cultivates strong relationships with all traffic persons, executives, and distributors who influence the decision on routing LTL shipments
Handle customer issues through the appropriate channels
Understand and support the goals and procedures of the company and exemplify the utmost in business ethics
Responsible for monitoring work for legal and regulatory compliance
Understands and the LTL market trends by region
College degree preferred
Proven B2B sales experience with at least 5 years' experience in sales with a focus on LTL.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Ability to work a full-time/flexible schedule when needed
Strong communication (verbal and written) with excellent follow up skills
Availability to travel within a specified market
