Logistics Sales Executive

Charlotte, NC
A growing third party logistics provider is seeking an experienced Sales Executive for the Southeast US territory.


Responsibilities
  • Develop a pipeline of customers with asset and brokerage needs for shipping goods
  • Negotiate rates on new business lanes 
  • Create contracts for new customers
  • Work closely with other departments  to ensure customers needs are being met
  • Be the point of contact for shippers on any issues that arise
  • Meet with customers on an ongoing basis and continue to build relationships to increase business and revenue
     
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the logistics industry (domestic)
  • Proven track record selling full truckload (brokerage)
  • Thorough understanding of the trucking industry
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong negotiation experience with multi-modes of domestic transportation
